Overview & Location

Dungeon Hythloth is located on the isolated Isle of the Avatar in the extreme southeast corner of the world (Coordinates: 169°S, 128°E). Opposed to the Virtue of Humility, Hythloth is an inferno of brimstone and molten rock that doubles as an underground passage connecting Britannia to the volcanic reaches of the Lost Lands.

Floor-by-Floor Inhabitants

Level 1: Gargoyle Sanctum

The upper level consists of stone walkways suspended over dark pits:

  • Inhabitants: Gargoyles, Stone Gargoyles, Hellhounds, and Imps.
  • Tactics: High-speed flying gargoyles cast energy bolts and melee aggressively; bards frequently use Provocation to pit them against one another.

Level 2: Hellhound Kennels & Daemon Pits

The second level descends deeper into fiery hallways:

  • Inhabitants: Daemons, Hellhounds, and Fire Gargoyles.
  • Passage Gate: Contains a passage leading toward the subterranean subterranean tunnels connecting to Delucia.

Level 3: The Abyssal Temple

Massive stone halls bathed in crimson light:

  • Inhabitants: Elder Daemons, Balrons, and Hellcats.
  • Rewards: Balrons drop thousands in gold, vanquishing armaments, and top-tier magical scrolls.

Level 4: Semidar's Lair (Abyss Champion Altar)

The lowest level of Hythloth houses the Abyss Champion Altar.

  • Champion: Semidar the Demon Queen.
  • Mechanics: Semidar reflects damage back to male characters, giving female characters and pets a decisive advantage during combat encounters.

Travel & Safety

  • Reaching the Isle: Reaching Hythloth requires sailing via private vessel or using a marked Recall rune.
  • Demon Slayer Weapons: Weapons with Demon slaying properties deal immense damage throughout Hythloth's lower tiers.
