Carpentry & Tinkering
The foundation of Britannian craftsmanship: tools, lockpicks, potion kegs, furniture, and house add-ons.
Jump to Section:
Tinkering: Tools of the Realm
Tinkering is the foundational skill required by all other craftsmen. Using Tinker's Tools and iron ingots, tinkerers fabricate:
- Crafting Tools: Smith hammers, tongs, sewing kits, mortars & pestles, saws, planes, scissors, and shovels.
- Adventuring Gear: Lockpicks, sextants, spyglasses, clocks, and key rings.
- Mechanical Components: Gears, springs, clockwork assemblies, and barrel hoops.
Trapped Pouches & Lockpicks
Tinkerers provide essential utilities for dungeon crawlers and PvP combatants:
- Lockpicks: Used by thieves and treasure hunters to open locked chests.
- Trapped Pouches (Anti-Paralyze): By combining a pouch, dart/explosion trap, and the Magic Trap spell, players carry trapped pouches. When paralyzed by an enemy mage, opening the pouch detonates the trap for 1 damage, immediately breaking the paralysis!
Carpentry: Furniture & Add-ons
Carpenters shape timber into functional home furnishings and defensive structures using saws and wooden logs:
- Containers: Wooden boxes, wooden chests, and heavy crates.
- Furniture: Chairs, thrones, large dining tables, book shelves, and armoires.
- House Add-ons: Deeded installations for player homes including:
* Forges & Anvils * Spinning Wheels & Looms * Training Dummies & Pickpocket Dips * Water Troughs & Stone Ovens
The Anatomy of a Potion Keg
One of the most profitable items in the economy, a Potion Keg stores up to 100 potions of a single type, saving massive amounts of weight and backpack space! Constructing a potion keg requires collaboration between Carpentry and Tinkering:
- **Barrel Staves** (Carpentry, 3 logs)
- **Barrel Hoops** (Tinkering, 5 iron ingots)
- **Barrel Tap** (Carpentry, 2 logs)
- **Barrel Lid** (Carpentry, 4 logs)
- Combine all parts with an empty barrel to craft a completed Potion Keg!
