Points of Interest & Shrines

Beyond towns and dungeons, Britannia is peppered with sacred monuments, arcane anomalies, and natural wonders.

The Eight Shrines of Virtue

Dedicated to the principles of Truth, Love, and Courage, the Shrines of Virtue allow avatars to reflect on their moral paths and seek spiritual communion:

  • Shrine of Compassion: Situated northeast of Britain in the rolling meadows.
  • Shrine of Honesty: Located on the northern plateau of Dagger Isle (Ice Island).
  • Shrine of Honor: Resting deep in the dense forests south of Trinsic.
  • Shrine of Humility: Tucked away on the southern tip of the Isle of Fire.
  • Shrine of Justice: Situated on the coastal peninsulas northeast of the city of Yew.
  • Shrine of Sacrifice: Resting along the desert shores east of Minoc.
  • Shrine of Spirituality: Accessible via mystical gates and mountain trails near Skara Brae.
  • Shrine of Valor: Resting on an isolated craggy island off the coast of Jhelom.

The Chaos Shrine

Positioned deep within the northern mountains east of Dungeon Blackthorn, the Chaos Shrine stands as the philosophical antithesis to the Virtues, revered by those aligned with the primordial forces of Chaos and the Shadowlords.

Natural Landmarks & Arcane Enclaves

  • The Hedge Maze: An elaborate labyrinth of living shrubs and sorcerous towers located between Britain and Skara Brae.
  • The Star Room: A celestial nexus connecting arcane portals across Sosaria.
  • Solen Hives: Massive subterranean ant colonies sprawling beneath the heart of Britannia, entered through giant sinkhole entrances.
  • The Desert Pyramids: Ancient monuments rising from the sands of the Compassion desert, concealing forgotten tombs.
  • Subterranean Passages: The serpentine tunnels and caves linking the Old Lands of Britannia with the Lost Lands (T2A).
