Mining mountain veins, smelting colored ingots, lumberjacking forests, and pack animal transport.

Mining & Colored Veins

Mining extracts raw iron and colored ores from mountain ridges and cavern floors:

  • Equip a Pickaxe or Shovel, double-click the tool, and target rocky terrain.
  • Each node yields a set number of ore chunks before depleting, replenishing after a regeneration timer.
  • As your Mining skill increases, you unlock rare colored veins: Dull Copper (65), Shadow Iron (70), Copper (75), Bronze (80), Gold (85), Agapite (90), Verite (95), and Valorite (99).

Smelting Ingots & Safe Techniques

Smelting raw ore into ingots requires heat from a forge:

  • Double-click ore, target a forge.
  • Safe Smelting (Ore Splitting): Smelting large stacks of high-tier ore carries a risk of failure, which destroys half the stack! Veteran miners separate rare ores into stacks of 2 chunks. If a 2-chunk stack fails, you only lose 1 ore chunk instead of hundreds!

Lumberjacking Forests & Timber

Lumberjacking supplies wood for carpenters, fletchers, and archers:

  • Equip a hatchet or battle axe, double-click, and target tree trunks.
  • Produces ordinary wooden logs, kindling, and rare colored logs in deep forests.
  • Axe Combat Bonus: Grandmaster lumberjacks gain a passive +35% damage bonus when using axes in melee combat!

Pack Animals & Logistics

Ore and timber are extremely heavy. Successful gatherers utilize pack animals:

  • Purchase a Pack Horse or Pack Llama from town stables for ~500 gold.
  • Pack animals carry up to 1,600 stones of raw ore or timber.
  • Use the command `all follow me` to guide them, and `bank` to quickly unload your harvest into town vaults.
